Why do we always want the “good guys” to defeat the “bad guys”? Why do we naturally seem to root for one side, our minds clearly delineating between good and evil? Can we see ourselves in the heroes and villains of current books and movies? This workshop explores how writers build characters and follow them into the meaning of the story.

Voice comes with creating believable heroes and villains, as well as writing descriptively. Explore voice by placing your story in a historical setting. Find your storytelling voice as you craft a hero-and-villain poem, story, or any other format, while you explore the multifaceted nature of human beings.
